Lazing the holiday away

Has been quite a dramatic and eventful holiday with a trip to the hospital. But all is well now and taking some time to enjoy what’s left of the festive season. We should never take things for granted and must be somehow prepared but yet not paranoid and be pessimistic. It’s all about striking the perfect balance. Enjoy a wonderful Monday everyone.

Healthier Lou Hei

Was very impressed by this healthy version of Lou Hei. It contains mainly fruits, cereal and lettuce. The sauce is actually golden syrup. The taste is very nice and refreshing and it’s suitable for kids as well. Will defiantly give it a try in the future. What are the best Lou Hei you’ve had so far? Care to share?

Oriental style cafe with western breakfast.

Had very breakfast at a very nice and calming cafe this morning. Realised that the Japanese and Koreans really love their coffee and the take a lot effort to build nice cafes so customers can enjoy their meal and have some relaxing time in between a busy day. Really liked this place and it’s my first time here. Will definitely come back. Anyone with nice places to recommend?

First Lou Hei

Joined company festive celebration to bring good luck for the year ahead. They say the higher you tops the dish, the more luck you’ll get. There is also a variety of condiments that go with the dish and the waitress said a auspicious phrase each time she pours a condiment into the dish. Then I was told they will receive an Ang pow. This is the first of many Lou Heis to come. Better get in shape soon and eat in moderation. BTW, the rest of the food is fantastic.

Tea break

Was walking around and decided to sit down for a cuppa. Didn’t want to spend too much on drink and decided to visit a food centre. Went for the healthier option or not sugar and the taste wasn’t too bad. Suppose the milk didn’t really make it any much healthier but I suppose it’s a start. Really hope to be able to do the right thing and get in shape soon. Second health check is coming up soon. Sigh….
